Why we’re supporting Kathy
Kathy Castor is an environmental attorney who helped draft the Affordable Care Act. She has represented Tampa Bay in Congress since 2007, and she opposed the 2025 Trump tax law that cut Medicaid and SNAP.
In May, Ron DeSantis redrew her district to beat her, turning a seat Harris won by 8 into one Trump would have won by 11. Trump endorsed her opponent. Holding this seat shows that gerrymanders can be beaten.
