Why we’re supporting Johnny

Johnny Garcia was raised by his mother on San Antonio's West Side. He worked construction, then spent nearly two decades with the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, including on its SWAT crisis negotiation team.

This seat was drawn in Trump's 2025 redistricting to elect a Republican. His opponent has promised to be "President Trump's wingman in Congress." Garcia wants to end Trump's tariffs, renew health-care subsidies and expand Medicaid. Winning here turns Trump's gerrymander against him.
