Why we’re supporting Shelby
Shelby Hebert works on fire resilience: she manages fuels-reduction projects for the Colusa County Resource Conservation District. Since moving to Chico in 2017 she has built affordable housing, served three AmeriCorps terms, and volunteered to help build Everhart Village.
Chico's roads are crumbling, and voters passed Measure H to fix them. Shelby will put 51% of Measure H into street repair. In May, Mayor Kasey Reynolds voted against doing exactly that.
Shelby’s record
- Put 51% of voter-approved Measure H sales-tax revenue into street repair.1
- More housing choices under the 2030 General Plan, and protections for renters, including mobile-home rent stabilization for seniors.1
- Keep the Pallet shelter running as a low-barrier emergency site.1
- Give City Commissions back the power to put their own items on the agenda, and extend public comment.1
