Megan Thomas Petty has lived in Chico for 28 years and practiced law here since 1999. She chairs the city's Bidwell Park and Playground Commission and has led school site councils for her kids' schools.
She is running on safe parks, a strong local hospital and wildfire-prepared neighborhoods, with decisions based on facts and science. Her opponent, Tom van Overbeek, voted in May against putting 51% of Measure H into Chico's roads.
